Leonard is an avid gamer who was caught using a Anti-Sementic Slur playing Call of Duty on Twitch. The internet did what the internet usually does and this video spread like wild fire. Later that day Marc Stein, reporter from the New York Times, reported that the Heat are reviewing video of center Meyers Leonard using an anti-Semitic slur earlier while live-streaming his video-game play via Twitch, according to a team spokesman. NBA Spokesmen Mike Bass also stated that,
"The NBA unequivocally condemns all forms of hate speech"
Things weren't going to get better for Meyers Leonard.Leonard was also apart of the gaming powerhouse FaZe Clan and had partnerships with Scuf Gaming and Origin PC. These are all companies that are apart of the gaming community that caught wind of this viral video. Can you guess what happens next? All gaming companies and identities that were associated with Leonard put out statements ultimately ending their relationships and partnerships with the Miami Heat center.
Shortly after those statements came out, Meyers Leonard broke silence and put out a statement on Instagram.
