ICYMI: Taylor Swift Claps Back at Netflix

UPDATED: Friday, March 5, 2021 | 10:42 AM EST.

This week not only are the swifties going after John Mayer, but Taylor Swift herself fires back after a sexist joke is made about her on a Netflix series called “ Ginny and Georgia”.

The show premiered on the 24th of February, and in she show, a character states “ You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.” On Monday, Taylor Swift tweeted a screenshot of the comment and tweeted,

“Hey Ginny and Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hardworking women by defining this horse sh** as funny.”

She continued to tweet..

“Also @netflix after miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look good on you Happy Women’s History Month I guess.”

But, Netflix users seem to be confused since the show is about two feminists, yet seems to be making what comes off as a sexist and degrading joke. This is not the first time Netflix has been under attack in the last twelve months. Their recent release, “ cuties” got a lot of backlash as well.

Cancel culture is on Netflix’s back, so I wonder if Ginny and Georgia will survive this one...
