UPDATED: Tuesday, March 2, 2021 | 6:49 PM EST>

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, was awarded a Golden Globe on Sunday night for best actor from his role in the drama “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

As many knew, he died recently at age 43 due to a private battle with cancer. His wife Taylor Simone Ledward accepted the award for him, and gave one incredible speech.

"He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices,"

We can't imagine the power it took for her to come forward to step on the stage. She then continued to say,

"He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice inside all of that tells you that you can ... that tells you to keep going that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history."

Listening to her sincere speech brought tears to my eyes. Chadwick was an incredible actor who inspired many, and will continue to do so. His legacy will live on, and he will continue to set an example for many actors who want to get into the industry!
