Updated: Thursday, April 8, 2021 | 2:49 PM PST.

As Danny once said on the air, it seems as if everyone is being canceled now a days... and now It appears even our favorite undersea friend Spongebob is in “deep water” too!

But wait what happened to Spongebob?! Two very specific episodes have been pulled from the television show, Sponge Bob Square Pants, on services Paramount + and Amazon due to what they called “ inappropriate nature.” The first episode was called “Kwarantined Crab” which is about a health inspector coming to Krusty Krab to see if anyone has the “ clam flu”. According to CNN, this episode invokes “feelings of increased isolation and hatred amid anti-Asian violence within the United States.”

The second episode they took off was called “ Mid Life Crustacean” which is about SpongeBob and Patrick taking Mr. Krabs on a night out to make him feel young again. In this episode, the characters sneak into a woman’s home and take her underwear. According to the New York Times, this episode was taken down because it was deemed as not kid appropriate.

May these episodes Rest In Peace. On the bright side, Sponge Bob has many Many many more episodes for us to enjoy!
