1.5M people sign a petition requesting the NBA change logo to a photo of Kobe's silhouette
#BREAKINGNEWS - UPDATED: Tue. January 28, 2020 at 11:42 am.

As news continues to pour in surrounding the unfortunate events around the demise of the famed NBA All-Star, Daughter Gigi, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Christine Mauser, and pilot Ara Zobayan (who recently flew Kylie Jenner in November) the situation continues to sink in.
With many questions such as what happened, what caused the crash, and will an LA wide memorial be held in his honor, many people are trying to honor Kobe in smaller ways.
One larger way causing waves across the world is a petition requesting the NBA changes the famous logo to a photo of Kobe's silhouette. It states:
"With the untimely and unexpected passing of the great Kobe Bryant please sign this petition in an attempt to immortalize him forever as the new NBA logo."

The current NBA logo features an outline of Jerry West and has been their official logo since 1971!

Other ideas such as officially retiring No. 24 and No. 8 league-wide and the Kobe Byrant 'Mamba' logo on NBA jerseys have surfaced.
In the end, it will ultimately be up to the NBA on whether or not they change the logo, and we do hope they do the right thing...
UPDATE: As of Tuesday, January 28th over 1.89 MILLION people have signed the petition including several members of our team.
